Welcome from Ms. Scialdo

Welcome to Manor Middle and Home of the Ponies! We are so excited to start the 18-19 school year here at MMS!  As we take a look at the beginning of year we have several events on the horizon. We will be working on our activities for No Place For Hate, Red Ribbon Week and enjoying a fun start to the year. I am looking forward to all these activities as i'm sure this semester will fly by. We are also enjoying time in the classroom and working with Xello.

Xello is an online program that helps students create a successful future through self-knowledge, exploration, and planning. We will be guiding all our students through this process this semester.

Here is to a great year with PONY pride!
About your Counselor:
This is my fifth school year at Manor Middle School and I work with all of 6th-8th grade A-L :)

I completed my Master's Degree in School Counseling in May 2009 at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. I spent my first 3 years as a counselor doing Home and School based counseling. I worked with both families and students to bridge the gap between school, community resources and home. I provided intensive services to keep the family unit intact.

I moved to Austin in May 2012 and have not looked back. I worked as a 5th and 6th grade Life Skills teacher for 2 years and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with Special Education to Manor Middle School.
